Pregnant woman who got married of her choice was killed in the name of honor
Rahim Yar Khan : A girl who got married of her choice was sacrificed in the name of honor. The body of three-month-pregnant Momina Bibi was found buried in the ground near Liaquatpur.
On April 20 last year, Momina Bibi, a resident of Rajanpur in Kot Mithan district, got married to Khalil Ahmed, a resident of Muzaffargarh, but her parents reconciled with her a few months ago.
After which the bride Momina who was three months pregnant went to meet him at the invitation of her parents but when she did not come back and her mobile number was blocked, her husband Khalil knocked on the door of the court.
Search for the girl was started on the order of the court and a case was registered against the uncles and cousins of the bride at Kot Mithan police station
He allegedly confessed to killing Momina and said that her body was buried in Dafli Kabir Khan area of Liaquatpur Tehsil.
In the presence of Area Magistrate Civil Judge Liaqatpur, the police dug the ground in the area and exhumed the body.
According to Khalil Ahmed, husband of the slain Momina, Momina was buried alive in a deserted place. Her body was found in the clothes of the house instead of the shroud.
Khalil Ahmed demanded that strict action be taken against all the accused involved, including his father-in-law Mukhtar Shah, responsible for the tragic murder.
