Journalists protest police raid on the National Press Club, Islamabad.
Rahim Yar Khan: Rahim Yar Khan National Press Club and Bahawalpur Union of Journalists staged a massive protest outside the Press Club against the police raid and violation of sanctity at the National Press Club, Islamabad.

The protest was led by senior journalist Fayyaz Mahmood in Rahim Yar Khan and A Majeed Gul in Bahawalpur, Sadra Amin Abbasi and General Secretary Rashid Aziz Hashmi.
The protesters raised slogans against police brutality and termed the incident as a direct attack on freedom of the press.
The speakers said that the Press Club is a symbol of the gathering of journalists and their voice, the attack on them is actually a conspiracy against journalists across the country.
They said that such incidents not only undermine journalistic values but are also an alarm bell for democratic traditions in the country.
In their address, the journalist leaders demanded that the incident be impartially investigated and those responsible be severely punished so that no one dares to commit such acts in the future.
He said that journalists from Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur express complete solidarity with their colleagues in Islamabad and if the demands are not met, the scope of the protest will be further expanded.
The speakers made it clear that there will be no compromise on freedom of expression and the security of journalists.
